Pre-Conference Dinner (on Friday 10th June 2011)

The Pre-Conference Dinner is the night before DDD South West 3 (you probably could have guessed that bit). Everyone is welcome to come along as we plan to have enough room for everyone (no need to book your own table or anything like that). The plan is to arrive at 7pm to be seated at 7:30pm. As many speakers will be travelling from the Holiday Inn Express Bristol North there might be some informal car/taxi sharing exercise going on. The venue is the same as last year:-

Zero Degrees,
53 Colston Street
Bristol
BS1 5BA

They serve a great menu of food and brew their own beer on site (the beer really is excellent and highly recommended).

Geek Dinner (on Saturday 11th June 2011)

After DDD South West 3 we will be having a Geek Dinner (loads of geeks having dinner together). Here are the details:-

Location: Water Sky (Chinese restaurant), 1 Eastgate Road, Bristol (just off M32 Junction 2)

Map & details: See http://tinyurl.com/watersky

Getting there: About 10 minutes by car, just under 3 miles away. We will arrange a meeting point for people who want to share taxis to get there. For people driving, we will hand out a map with directions & satnav reference on the day. It has its own large free car park.

Food and prices: Good range of Chinese and Thai dishes. We recommend the all-you-can-eat option (it was £15.95 last year (drinks and tip extra)).

Seating and payment: We will have an area of the restaurant for our tables. Each table of 10 handles its own bill and payment.

Signing up: When you arrive and register at the conference, you'll be asked to sign up for your place at the meal. Once all the places are taken, we're full - it's first-come-first-serve for this.
